Cheesy potato Ingredients 6 ounces frozen hash brown potatoes 3/4 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup 3/8 small onion, chopped 3/4 cup and 2 teaspoons sour cream 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese salt and pepper to taste 1-3/4 cups and 1 tablespoon crispy rice cereal squares 1/4 cup and 1 teaspoon butter Directions This recipe's Ingredients were scaled to yield a new amount. The directions below still refer to the original recipe yield of 1 - 9x13 inch dish. Place hash browns in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. In a medium bowl, stir together soup, onion, sour cream, cheese, salt and pepper until well combined. Pour over hash browns. Crush the cereal and mix with the butter. Sprinkle mixture over soup layer. Cover and let rest in refrigerator  24 hours. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Bake in preheated oven 45 minutes, until golden, hot and bubbly.
