1.) Pointe Shoes are NOT A JOKE!!! It takes years to develop the right muscles needed and longer to learn to dance in them. Just putting them on someone who’s had little to no ballet training can cause bad ankle or foot injuries. 2.) I hate things like this because it makes what we do look like a complete joke. Ballet is not an “anyone can do it” thing. It takes mental and physical strength. Not to mention the time sacrificed. To think people see this as all we do is so upsetting.
