This research aims to track the change in quality in the book production in early modern Italy. C... more This research aims to track the change in quality in the book production in early modern Italy. Contrary to the direction undertaken by the traditional historiography on books, mainly addressing to most evident aspects of the book design such as illustrations, this investigation looks at the book as an artefact in its material and typographical complexity.
