Everyone believes their recipe is the tastiest but mine is actually the best 🤪! After making this once you will be absolutely addicted. I like to make mine very saucy, so this definitely is not a dry dish. Let’s get onto the recipe. 460K views · 14K reactions | HOW TO MAKE THE BEST EASIEST PAKISTANI MURGH PALAK CHICKEN (CHICKEN SPINACH CURRY) RECIPE 😍🇵🇰 You may have heard or Paalak Paneer and Saag Aloo, but Paalak Chicken is rarely spoken about, and I definitely prefer it over the former. This dish is perfect if you have leftover spinach or leaves and want a healthy meal in less than half an hour, particularly if you cook the spinach at the same time as the curry base. My recipe is a super quick 15 minute homestyle version, so that means not a lot of oil and no pulsing or blending, just a simple curry bursting with flavour. INGREDIENTS - 1 kg spinach (washed + chopped) [I use baby spinach] - 1 cup water (or milk) - ⅓ cup oil (or ghee) - 500g boneless chicken (chopped) - 1 onion (finely diced) - 1 cup yogurt - 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste - ½ cup cream (AKA malai) [optional but recommended, set aside half for garnish] Spices: - ½ tsp chilli powder - ½ tsp chilli flakes - ½ tsp turmeric - 1 tsp salt Finishing spices: - ½ tsp black pepper powder - ½ tsp cumin powder - ½ tsp coriander powder You may ask why I add the finishing spices later? It is because it prevents the curry from turning brown. Garnish: - 1 knob if ginger sliced - 2 tbsp chopped coriander STEPS: 1. Over a medium heat add all the chopped spinach and water or milk, cover with a lid & allow to cook till fully wilted, about 5 mins 2. In a medium high pot, add oil and onions, sauté for 5 mins till softened 3. Add ginger garlic paste, spices and yogurt, cook out for 5 mins 4. Add chicken and finishing spices, cook till chicken is fully cooked and oil separates (about 5 mins) 5. Add the cooked spinach and cream, cook out for 2 mins 6. Garnish with cream, coriander and ginger 7. Serve and enjoy! 311K views · 16K reactions | HOW TO MAKE THE BEST EASIEST PAKISTANI ROAST LAMB RECIPE 😍🇵🇰!! Have you ever heard of a Raan Roast? It is a traditional Pakistani Roasted Lamb Leg that is traditional served on occasions and at some restaurants, it’s definitely a treat. The flavour profile is completely different to a curry but still hits the same satisfying notes and is packed with tons of flavour! It’s definitely one of the easiest recipes out there, literally just marinate and bake! As you can imagine there are tons of regional variations to this recipe. My recipe leans more to the traditional Punjabi side, instead of Peshwari or others. INGREDIENTS: - 1 whole lamb leg - 2 tsp Himalayan pink salt (½ for rubbing in the slits, ½ for marination) - 1 tsp meat tenderiser powder (optional) - ½ cup yogurt (the thicker the better) - 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste (or 1 tsp ginger + garlic powder) - 3 tbsp vinegar (or 4 tbsp lemon juice) - ½ tsp red chilli powder - 1 tsp paprika (or Kashmiri chilli powder) - 1 tsp turmeric - 1 tsp garam masala - 1 tsp cumin powder - 1 tsp coriander powder - 1 tsp black pepper powder - 1 tsp cinnamon powder STEPS: 1. Create deep cuts in the flesh of lamb leg, do not touch the bone. 2. Rub salt into the slits of the lamb. 3. Mix all ingredients and marinate for 30+ mins. 4. Place the lamb in a baking tray and cover well with foil, ensure there are no holes, you don not want any steam to escape. 5. Bake at 200 degrees Celsius for about 3 hours, every lamb leg will be different so check it after 2 ½ hours. 6. Serve on a rice platter. I served mine with Kabuli Pulao for the drama but any rice dish works.
