The Persian Elite Set was an armor set worn by the Elite Persian forces. In 5th century BCE, the set was commonly worn by highest ranks of the soldiers working for the Order of the Ancients. During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra defeated the members of the Order of Hunters, a branch of the Order of the Ancients, in Makedonia, and claimed a set of the armor for her own. Description Lucky for you I got to work too early and had an hour to burn! An Achaemenid, or Xšāça if you're a speaker of Old Persian. Ballpoint on scrap paper. Wearing the armaments of the Zhayedan (Immortals) that adorn them on the reliefs of Persepolis.

These two personal pieces I made to test a combined 3D / painted technique I started using in the last few years. Also, I wanted to depict two distinct armies, first one of ancient Greeks and second one of Persians.
