Years after dropping out of medical school, Michael Goodman (aka Mr. Doula) is now gainfully employed in the historically female-centric field of doula. Michael, an alpha-male, finds himself on the emotional roller-coaster of love which forces him to choose between his two very career-oriented female companions consisting of his girlfriend (Dr. Padma Asker) and his ex-wife (Crystal) - also the mother of their precocious 8-year old daughter (Leena). With his girlfriend's pressure to wed soon as her biological clock ticks down and an ex-wife purposely using another man (Blaire) to regain his attention to rekindle their long-lost love, Michael is forced to choose between the two while being met with obstacles from his ex-wife's new studious beau.
