Greg is hoping things are getting better between Eric and Susan, but they are not. Susan says she cannot compete with Eric's typewriter. Alice is thrilled when Mickey calls her from the sanitarium. Adele and Brooke move into a basement apartment in Trish's building. Trish gives Jeri a lovely sweater even though it is not Jeri's taste. Mary and Bob take Phyllis to Doug's Place for dinner as do Tom takes Alice. Tom and Alice are surprised to see Jeri. Jeri tells Robert she has to find a job and be a mother to Trish. Adele has her dinner at Doug's while Brooke works. Alice tells Tom she is worried because Mickey wants to divorce Maggie. Greg and Eric argue about Annie being told that Eric is her real father and that Susan has to seek sex therapy. Eric says that he believes Susan would rather be with Greg than Eric.
