This does not bother the girl, because she spends more time in the world of dreams and read stories than in reality. When her uncle, a sanitary doctor, arranges for his niece to work as a nurse in his hospital, Zhenya immediately falls in love with the chief surgeon. Ruslan Volchetkin seems to her a real knight in shining armor. But the knight is married and, despite his obvious interest in Zhenya, does not intend to divorce her: his wife Olga is a mental invalid, and it is unthinkable to leave her.
