Dirk's earliest role of note was as Abel Mckay on Little House on the Prairie. His first series regular role was on Blacksheep Squadron, another successful NBC series. Later, his film work included, The Border, Poltergeist and Starman, while also appearing on such classic tv series as: MASH, Newhart, 21 Jump Street, Matlock, The X-Files ER, and Deadwood. Dirk recently wrote and published the illustrated fable, 'Master and the Little Monk'.
