His girlfriend cancels the trip at the last minute and Christos does not like to travel alone. Then he gets to know a 75-year-old neighbor who lives in the basement of the apartment building with his dog and adores Cavafy. The loneliness of the holidays brings them closer and they become friends. Christos leaves for Crete to spend the New Year with his family, but gets hurt and returns to Athens. Then, an intuitive friend urges him to go to Corfu, where there is the Canal d'amour - the channel of love. Anyone who swims there, according to legend, knows the love of his life.
