The company outing had been planned for a long time and the suitcases were already packed when Isa received a call for help from an old acquaintance: it came from Harald Bruns, the owner of the "Seeblick" hotel on a small Baltic Sea island. Isa used to spend her holidays here with her family as a child. Isa's mother apparently stayed there again six months ago and now refuses to leave the hotel even though it is about to close. Marion von Brede is the last guest. Instead of enjoying the sunset on the beach in Maspalomas, Isa drives to the Baltic Sea to pick up her mother. Arriving on the island, Isa is faced with a far more complicated situation: her mother is drunk and refuses to vacate her hotel room. Marion von Brede also resists the police, who Paula, the granddaughter of the hotel owner, has meanwhile called for help and promptly ends up in police custody. Isa learns from Harald Bruns that he will have to give up the hotel after all these years because, strangely enough, the community is planning an airfield right there. Since he has not agreed to the sale of his land, he is now threatened with expropriation. Why are the town's shady mayor and Harald Bruns' granddaughter Paula putting the hotelier under so much pressure with the eviction? What sense does an airfield on a small Baltic Sea island make? But above all: Why is Marion von Brede on the island at all and why doesn't she want to go back home? Isa realizes that something can't be right and decides to stay on the island for the time being to investigate the matter. She receives support from her law firm - Gellert, Yasmin and Gudrun also canceled their company outing to follow Isa to the island. Torn between the desire to relax and professional curiosity, they find out together what the airfield project is all about. But there's more: while Gellert feels increasingly attracted to Tonja, the mayor's wife, Isa unexpectedly meets her old childhood friend Nils, who is now the editor-in-chief of the local daily newspaper, while doing her research. Isa cannot understand why even the local lawyer advised Bruns to sell his property. It seems as if Heiko Welting and her mother know each other. Is there a connection between Marion von Brede and the project? When Isa finally stumbles upon a secret from her childhood, she realizes what keeps her mother on the island, and suddenly Isa understands many things that she has never been able to explain in her life.
