The gifted hacker keep creating and deleting new accounts, yet IT-smart Rico Sander (and his buddy Ameli) finds he leaves a probably deliberate trail to another ID victim, Dr. Philipp Brinks. The team concludes the three victims must be linked, and digs in their lives, while an anonymous Internet contributor hints them. Pushy Nele Becker, who hoped to find the hacker undercover, gets kidnapped by him, while the grown ups, including coroner Förster, find out how it all ties to the tragedy of Max Rau and his late, equally young buddy.
