Mrs. Schultz invites Mrs. Murphy over; they get into a friendly conversation which develops into a quarrel. Their husbands have a card game in back of the store. Schultz finds Murphy cheating. This starts a fight, the neighbors getting articles thrown. They send in a riot call to the mounted police. The Schultz's and Murphy's throw eggs and meat back and forth while the police are on a mad chase to reach them. When they arrive, instead of stopping the fight, they find themselves between a storm of eggs and ham and make a hasty retreat, letting the bunch fight it out.
