John has a son, Bob, who is going the pace with his friend Harry. Joseph has a very pretty daughter. The old boys believe that an alliance between their children would be just about the right thing. John returns to his town home and tells Bob he has picked out a nice wife for him John, provoked at being told he is old fashioned, sends for his old friend's daughter to come at once, and proceeds to array himself in the latest and most up-to-date apparel. The girl arrives, dressed in her most fashionable clothes and the two of them seek out Bob's haunts. Bob and his friend, Harry, see and speak to her. She resents and as they start to go Bob is astounded to see his father dressed in his best with the girl. Bob soon manages to be introduced. Matters progress rapidly to John's delight and amusement. Joseph comes to town and together the two old boys look through the window and see the young couple in an embrace. Written by
