He sends a ...See moreIn this amusing story of the manner in which a bilious suitor tries to deceive his future wife about his habits, some glasses of whiskey are left on his bureau before he goes to call on the widow with whom he is having dinner. He sends a boy to fetch his eyeglasses, which he has forgotten, but just tells him "glasses." The youngster comes back with the whiskey glasses, getting the poor man into sad trouble. His engagement ring is returned to him and he is told several original and surprising facts about himself. Everybody has a good laugh at the undoing of Thompson, who gets no more than he deserves.
