Stand Elsewhere re-imagines the Stephen King movie "Stand by Me" Stephen King's short story "The Body" as an adventure on the Oregon trail. 

Set out from Castle Rock on your mission to become local celebrities. Will you find the body of Ray Brower, the missing boy?  

• A blend of choice-based interactive fiction and reflex-testing action sequences.
• Tell stories around the campfire, try to keep Teddy from doing something stupid, and find out whether you can outrun a locomotive.
• “Endless Hike” mode: Enjoy the scenery and groove to 50’s and 60’s chiptune hits.

Yes, this game has leeches. It also has dogs — find out whether you can pet them!

Controls

General:

Use the arrow keys to move up/down/left/right.

Press the X key to confirm (the green X icon on the screen).

Press the C key to cancel (the red O icon on the screen).

While hiking:

Use the left and right arrow keys to change the station on your radio.

Junkyard chase: 

Use the arrow keys to dodge left and right. Avoid the obstacles and escape to safety. 

Leech encounter: 

Follow the on-screen instructions. 

Bridge crossing: 

Make it to the other side of the bridge by pressing X to leap over the gaps.
