1️⃣ stabilizing blood sugar before bed can help prevent that blood sugar DROP throughout the night. When this happens, our cortisol starts ramping up, and this is what wakes us. Not fun when it’s in the middle of the night! Essentially, our body can perceive the low blood sugar as a stressor and wake us.

2️⃣ what we’re looking for is a protein, carb and fat at best! And at least a fat, paired with that carb (aka dress your carbs). We can help our body make that melatonin and decrease cortisol! That’s a big win!
