I don't usually remake old designs, I often dislike much of what I do shortly after having done it, but I find this candle holder not terribly offensive. Whenever I throw a sphere, I make the bottom quite thick and start to form the sphere itself about a centimeter above the bottom of the clay so that I can create a base on which it can stand.
