The stain is beautiful, no doubt, and I can see in my mind how it would look refreshed BUT on the other hand, the natural and AGED antique oak underneath the stain just SINGS! The carved details are greatly accented and we can see more clearly the gorgeous oak grain. The original stain from 100 years ago also contributes to these highlights. A Lighter antique oak always comes out the winner! In my humble opinion 💓 However, both looks are stunning and it really comes down to your own personal preference! With this piece, we refreshed the original interior stain so we get a beautiful contrast between light and dark and get the best of both worlds!
