Sibia Torres Padilla | DIYs on Instagram: "I made some paper mache mushrooms over the weekend. They have been on my list for a long time and i really enjoyed the process. I have shared the paper clay recipe I use in the past, but this time I swapped the egg cartons for toilet paper. I used 50 squares of toilet paper Added a little bit of warm water, only enough to cover the paper Let it sit for a few minutes until the papers started to fall apart Squeezed most of the water out Added 1 tablespoon of flour Half a tablespoon of salt and about 1/3 of a bottle of school glue Kneaded that with my hands until it formed into a paste then I formed the two pieces of the mushrooms separately and let them dry. I put mine outside in the sun for a few hours, but we are having 93° sunny weather
Cindy Long on Instagram: "Let's make some clay ghosts 👻 Easy, cute and just slightly spooky. Tutorial and supplies are listed below. Here's what you'll need: -rolling pin -model magic (check my stories for exact one I used) -tin foil squares -small styrofoam balls (one per 👻) -skewer Here's what you do: 1. Work a small ball of model magic in your hands for a few minutes until it softens 2. Shape foil around styrofoam ball, forming a shape that stands up by itself 3. Roll out clay until it's about 1/8-1/4" thin TIP: if you measure height of foil shape x2, your clay needs to be close to that in diameter 4. Make ghost 👀 and mouth with a skewer 5. Lay clay over foil and gently shape to fit TIP: clay can be gently stretched so it touches the table 6. Let excess clay create folds around ghost
