T341310 added instructions on using MediaWiki containers through Docker on WSL. The instructions included a link to https://docs.docker.com/desktop/wsl/#best-practices. This seems like a typo, since the #best-practices anchor does not exist. /wsl/best-practices, however, does exist, and carries the important note to mount the files from the Linux filesystem rather than through Windows. This note, which in its current form could be passed off as a general recommendation, is actually critical. By using Docker through WSL but having mediawiki on the host filesystem, each page load takes >20 seconds.
