The program contains 60 different agricultural products, presently. Numerical values and equations for these products are obtained from scientific research articles. The references for the particular crop are given in the program. This software enables to calculate some physico-mechanic properties of the selected products such as; sphericity, 1000 seed mass, true and bulk densities, surface area, porosity, angle of repose, static and dynamic friction coefficients, etc. This software is a valuable resource for food and agricultural engineers and scientists. It can be also used as a tool for designing crop processing and post-harvesting machinery.

The poultry industry is one of the fastest-growing agro-based industries in Turkey. Poultry litter or poultry waste, which emerges as the inevitable waste of broiler production, remains the most important disposal and pollution problem. There is an urgent need for techniques and technologies that provide environmentally and economically solutions to wastes that continuously emerge in every season of the year. Therefore, most of the litter produced by the poultry industry is currently applied to agricultural land in the places of production as a fertilizer and soil amendment or it is tried to be disposed by accumulation. The residual and waste materials of the developing poultry industry have also reached significant levels in quantity and have become a threat to environmental cleaning. The poultry industry progress in Turkey is expected to continue in the coming years. For this reason, it is useful to determine the most appropriate waste assessment method and strategy.

For this reason, some preventions must be done to control the disaffect of those matters. The main step to control the quality of air in the poultry houses is to maintain a good ventilation system for the birds. But, the ventilation systems itself must be planned carefully according to the environmental factors, the structure of the house and the needs of animals inside.

The methods used for this purpose are (Öztürk, 2003) calculation method, Czech Standards (Anonymous, 1998), ASAE Standards (American Society of Agricultural Engineers) (ASAE, 1987) and finally CIGR Standards (International Commission for Agricultural Engineers) (CIGR, 1984). Calculations were made for the ventilation capacities of a selected broiler house in Samsun region conditions by considering the equations and parameters in these standards, and the differences and similarities among them were discussed.
