Filled with buttery cinnamon sugar woven between flaky pastry . . . So good fresh from the oven! Save for your Autumn baking inspiration! Makes 4 but can easily be doubled Ingredients: One roll of Puff Pastry 50g golden caster sugar 2 tsp cinnamon 4 tbsp butter Egg yolk to glaze Pre heat your oven to 200°c. I used the little loaf cases from Lakeland that were around £3.99 for 12. Handy to stock up on as they are great for mini loaf cakes. Unroll your puff pastry and cut into four even strips. I cut mine slightly narrower than the base of my mini loaf cases. Mix the cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl. Spread a tbsp of butter evenly on each strip, followed by a generous sprinkling of cinnamon sugar. Fold in half and press down. Cut 7-8 even strips almost all the way to the top, leaving a centimetre strip uncut along the top. Twist each strip all the way up, then using the uncut end, roll into a neat log, securing with the loose end on the bottom. Place in the loaf case and brush with egg yolk. Sprinkle a little sugar on the top of each one and bake for 20 minutes. 1.6K views · 3.3K reactions | Braided Bun Recipe Ingredients Tangzhong Pudding: • 120 ml water (a little more than half a glass) • 120 ml milk (same amount) • 40 g flour (2 tablespoons) Dough: • 600 g flour (5 cups, leveled) • 8 g instant yeast (1 teaspoon) • 40 g granulated sugar (2 tablespoons) • 150 ml milk (2 fingers more than half a glass) • 2 eggs (separate the yolk of one) • 18 g salt (1 tablespoon) • 40 g butter (2 tablespoons) For the filling: • 200 g strained or white cheese • 75 g butter at room temperature • Plenty of finely chopped parsley • 200 g grated cheddar cheese Preparation 1. Tangzhong Pudding: • Combine all ingredients and beat with a wire whisk. Cook the mixture, let it cool to the consistency of baby food. 2. Dough: • Put the flour in a mixing bowl and make a well in the middle. Add the sugar and yeast and pour the warm milk on top. • When the yeast is active, add all the ingredients except the butter and add the slurry you prepared. • Knead until the dough comes together, then add the butter and knead again. Cover and let it rise for 25 minutes. 3. Shaping: • Remove the air from the dough and divide it into 6 equal pieces and knead tightly. Roll out each piece to a width of 35x35 cm with the help of flour. • Spread the butter and cheese mixture on each layer, then add the grated cheese. Pull the dough to the size of the tray. • First divide the dough into 8, then divide each piece into two equal pieces, create a total of 16 pieces, give it a braid shape, and close the ends tightly. 4. Final Preparation: • Brush the egg yolk you have set aside on top and sprinkle sesame seeds in the middle.
