Christmas Trees

The tree was traditionally decorated with edibles such as apples, nuts or dates. In the 18th century, it began to be illuminated by candles, which with electrification could also be replaced by Christmas lights. Modern day Christmas trees have come a long way. We now decorate them with ornaments that represent our sense of style, and then place presents for our family and friends underneath them to be opened on Christmas morning.
