This was my second ever project to do all by myself and I'm so proud of it! There's just something about completing a project from start to finish all on your own....even if there were some bumps along the way. So I'm giving you all the details and tips so you can make less mistakes then me.Materials • Plywood (*see disclaimer) • 1x3 pine boards (you could use mdf for a smoother look) • 1x4 board • 1x2 board • brad nailer (and battery) • 2"x18g brad nails • liquid nails • caulk • caulk gun

I secured the 4” top trim at 64” and measured and cut each individual 2” vertical trim piece. They were all slightly different measurements (joy of old houses!) so I couldn’t just cut all 12 pieces the same size. Using 1.5” brad nails, I did 4 nails per piece and checked for leveling on each one. To make it seamless, I caulked the cracks and patched the holes. This really makes it look finished and professional so you don’t want to skip this step, even if it is really annoying and tedious 😆. Amazing how a few trim pieces can give it such a polished and sophisticated look! They look the exact same and will save you HUNDREDS of dollars. Plus they are primed! Plan around the antlers and vanity to make the cuts easy! If you’re worried about the spacing, mine are 1-2” different on each wall, and you can’t tell. Use a pin nailer or glue. If you’re using a pin nailer, use the shortest nail possible. The caulk will act as a glue between the board and wall. Any other questions?
