APPLE RING PUFFS
Apple Ring Puffs * 8 apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp) * 1 pack (2 sheets) of puff dough * 2 tbsp of butter, melted (for brushing) * 1/2 cup granulated sugar * 2 tbsp cinnamon powder * Optional: ice cream and caramel to serve with Cut the apple in wheels about 1/4” thick. You will get about 4 slices per apple. With a 1”-1 1/2”round cookie cutter, cut the center of the apple (that will take the seeds off). Cut the puff dough in 1” strips and wrap the apple wheel from outside to inside passing it thru the hole. Place the apples on a sheet pan with parchment paper, brush melted butter and sprinkle 1 tsp of cinnamon sugar on top of each. Bake off at 375 for about 20 minutes or until golden brown on top and sides. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle caramel. Enjoy!
