Science for Kids on Instagram: "Upside down water bottle…why doesn’t the water spill out? ⚛️Science Explained⚛️ When the neck of an upside-down bottle is under water, it stays submerged as the water column inside aligns with atmospheric pressure on the water’s surface. But if the bottle’s neck rises above the water, internal pressure surpasses atmospheric pressure, causing the liquid to spill out. Not that my son understand this, but we always have fun doing science acrivities together 🥰 #science #stem #kidsactivities #scienceexperiment #pressure #water #gravity #learnthroughplay #scienceandgiggles" Water Spill, Columns Inside, Atmospheric Pressure, Science Stem, Under Water, Learning Through Play, Science For Kids, Science Experiments, Preschool Crafts

WHAT YOU NEED: ✅ mesh bag (Dollar store has these!) ✅ scissors ✅ duct tape ✅ water bottle ✅ Dawn dish soap ✅ liquid water colors SET UP Cut off the bottom of the water bottle and add a piece of mesh to it! Stick it on with duct tape. Make some bubble solution with liquid water colors, dish soap, and a little water! TIME TO CREATE 🙌 Dip the mesh end of the water bottle into the bubble solution and blow onto paper! ⚠️ Make sure kids can blow OUT before you do this so that they don’t blow in and suck up bubbles!
