If you are an ailurophile (the technical term for a cat lover), you might already know some of these bits of popular cat trivia, but I bet we will surprise you with some of the cat facts.

Izzy the cat has a face so adorable and expressive, that it can even compete with her sister Zoë’s perfectly shaped heart-marking on the chest (post about this cute cat is already on Bored Panda). While Zoë initially brought in most of the fans on their joint Instagram account, Izzy has now conquered the hearts of just about all of them as well. The pet cat doesn’t have any special markings – but she does have a very adorable face with giant golden eyes.

Fluffy artists. That's the only way to call cats of the unique and worldwide-known Kuklachev's Cat Theater. At the end of 2021, Veronica Ershova and I spent a week in the company of Dmitry Kuklachev, photographing the most charismatic members of his troupe.

Cats are often perceived as distant and unfriendly, but if you spend enough time with them, you will discover that they have their own unique quirks making them lovable and entertaining companions. From the way our furry friends knead with their paws to the way they rub against you for attention, felines have a way of endearing themselves to their owners. So while they may seem aloof at first glance, cats are actually full of personality and make wonderful pets.

I'm often asked if I photograph cats and the answer is "yes", and I love it! While dogs keep you on your toes, you need to practice patience and a quiet zen in order for most cats to settle in at the studio and start doing the normal cat things that their humans love so much about them and Ruthie was no different.
