Forward fold tips
Want to deepen your forward fold? Focus on strengthening your front body! In a forward fold it’s not just the hamstrings that stretch but the entire back line of your body!! Muscles work in opposites (called agonist/antagonist) so strengthen one and you can access to the stretch of its opposite. For forward folds focusing on strengthening your front core muscles that compress your torso to your thighs as well as your quadriceps (the muscles that work in opposite of your hamstrings) and your hip flexors (muscles that work in opposite of your glutes) will send signals to the target muscles that you want to stretch.
