This dish is a flavorful and easy addition to any meal,... | By Dimitra's Dishes | Everyone. Today, I'm going to be teaching you how to make my Mediterranean rice pilaf. It's so simple to make. Loaded with delicious flavor and it goes well with just about everything. We're going to get started with the rice. I like to soak my rice in cold water for about 10 minutes and then go ahead and drain it and set it aside while we melt the butter in a big pot. So, I'm using salted butter here but unsalted butter works well too. Then, I'll add some fiden noodles or they're also known as vermicelli. Toast them in the butter until they're nice and golden. Add the rice season it with salt, freshly cracked black pepper, fresh lemon juice, and then for maximum flavor. If you have some chicken broth, this is when you add it in. You can do water or vegetable broth too but the chicken broth really gives it that cozy flavor. So this is going to come to a boil once it comes to a boil. Reduce it to a simmer. Put the lid on the pot and let the simmer for about 20 minutes. Fluff the rip up and you'll have the most aromatic comforting rice that goes good with just about everything especially my Greek chicken souvlaki bowls. You're going to want to check that recipe out The recipe is on the website Dimitra's Dishes. com. Enjoy.
