"Ward Candy Company - Goobers - milk chocolate covered peanuts - candy box - 1970s," photo by JasonLiebig, via Flickr Goobers Candy, Vintage Fireworks, Old School Candy, Peanut Candy, Penny Candy, Chocolate Covered Peanuts, Nostalgic Candy, Candy Companies, Retro Candy

Coming from the early-to-mid-1970's is this lovely Goobers candy box. It's a nice one. This comes from the "Munktiki Collection", a large lot of consumer goods packaging saved and stored by Californian Paul Nielsen during the 1970's. A collection I recently acquired and will be documenting here. For more on Paul's current activities, check out www.munktiki.com.

A Ferrara Pan classic I remember frondly from my youth - I'd get these at my swimming pool snack shack. This comes from the "Munktiki Collection", a large lot of consumer goods packaging saved and stored by Californian Paul Nielsen during the 1970's. UK - Bassett's - Jelly Babies candy box - 1970's to early 1980's by JasonLiebig, via Flickr 80s Sweets, British Childhood, English Sweets, 60s Childhood, Old Sweets, 80s Childhood, Vintage Sweets, 1970s Toys, 1980s Childhood

They're Doctor Who's favorite (well, Tom Baker's Doctor Who, anyway), and this box might well come from that Doctor's era. I think this box dates to the late 70's, but could be an early 80's example. I simply not certain. Still it's great to have one that might well be the kind the Doctor himself might have fancied.
