These wooden tile mosaic murals are all 60-100 square feet and permanently mounted in schools where they were created. For each of them I created a "big picture" concept beforehand. I spent 1-2 weeks at the school teaching classes on portraiture, landscape painting, color mixing and composition to students. The resulting works the students created then became the pixels for my preconceived "big picture."

After the death of George Floyd, protests happened here in Madison, WI (as well as all over the country). Some businesses had windows broken. Artists covered the boarded-up windows with beautiful murals calling for justice and equality. I will have two posts of photos of some of these murals, because there were so many amazing artworks.
