Problem with 1.500 edits wrongly assigned to me in Sranantongoan Wikipedia

Hello, I already described my problem in German.

There are several edits in Sranantongoan Wikipedia listed under my name, all from 2008. But I never edited in this project. My Global User Account shows zero edits in "srn" (which is correct), nevertheless my user account in srn-wiki (which I didn't create) shows this history. The edits were imported from incubatorwiki where they have been created by incubator:User:Jordi~incubatorwiki. Unforatunately, the name conflict was not noticed. My initial thought was to rename the local account Jordi to maybe something like Jordi~srnwiki to make this more clear. However, that might cause some problems with the current global Jordi account. Yes, a local rename should detach the local Jordi from the global one. However, I'm not sure if that would also move all these 1,500 edits away. The original user could create a new local Jordi and merge it via Special:MergeAccount. At worst case, the edits wouldn't be moved and they cannot create a new local account that could be merged. A very uncommon edge case. I think that we should discuss this import bug internally and also open a phabricator ticket. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 14:25, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

With my sysadmin hat on, a manual detach followed by a local rename seems reasonable to me too. (I don't think we should manually attach it to Special:CentralAuth/Jordi~incubatorwiki since Special:CentralAuth/Jordi currently has access to that account.)

However, this is risky enough so please coordinate it to happen when someone with shell access is around in case this breaks something in a way that needs server-side fixing. I'm also happy to take care of the entire operation by myself if you prefer it that way. Taavi (talk!) 21:25, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

I'll ping @DerHexer, Xaosflux, and Taavi: now, that I going foreword with this request (I did such local rename several times under SRUC), so regarding "Jordi" side it was done , but now there's a need to attach/unify Jordi~incubatorwiki, and report (to phab.) the above mentioned issue of 0 edits at CA but 1500 edits in Special:Contributions. @علاء not having "edit in CA" counted is normal when they are "imported edits". Possibly we should just local block and glock that ~incubator account and be done here? — xaosflux ^Talk 08:07, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

@Xaosflux Is there phab. ticket that "imported edits not counted", or no need? Regarding the block/lock part, is this account related to Jordi (missed during unification process), or another user? as Jordi mentioned "hope he has not any access to my accounts, neither. @علاء centralauth/globaluserinfo has never counted anyone's "imported" edits towards those counters - so no need. This isn't exceptional about this case, it is standard for any import operation. — xaosflux ^Talk 21:24, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

Wrong block at fatwiki

Recently, I deleted spam page at fatwiki as GS task on April 18. Please see fat:Soronko:Log/delete if you want. After that, on April 20, User:Assilidjoe blocked me due to the 'spamming links'. fat:Soronko:Log/block How can this nonsense block be possible? Well, so, I realized this on May 1, so I requested unblock as this is definitely wrong block. fat:Dwumadzinyi_nkɔmbɔdzibea:LR0725 Assilidjoe replied on May 3, "Please sorry for that." After this, Assilidjoe is just ignoring unblock request. I cannot trust this sysop anymore, so request unblock at meta. The user has done more than 5000 edits to fawiktionary. We would nee more evidence than just you claiming they invented words in order to consider a block. Request to Add "Sandbox" Link to the Top of Every Page

Hello everyone!

I hereby requesting the additional link of a "Sandbox" to the top personal menu on every page of Swahili Wikipedia, similar appearance as to what people seeing on the English Wikipedia. This will help users easily access a testing area for editing without affecting real articles. I found out recently we don't have that kind of access to our Wikipedia. I tried to add the codes by myself on the MediaWiki section, turns out I have limited access despite being a sysop. Please do the needful to fix up the problem.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but could you please create da:b:MediaWiki:Custom-RcGcDw and da:s:MediaWiki:Custom-RcGcDw with the same content as in da:q:MediaWiki:Custom-RcGcDw. It will allow following Recent Changes in a channel on the Danish Discord server. The projects have no local administrators. And maybe also da:wikt:MediaWiki:Custom-RcGcDw if no local admin replies.
