"2014 and beyond in film" redirect on en.Wikipedia

Status: Done

Consensus at w:Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2015 April 26#201x and beyond in film was to delete this redirect and some of its counterparts. I was able to delete all but this one, which apparently has over 5000 revisions. --BDD (talk) 13:58, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

User pages deletion

Status: Done

I have a user page on more than a dozen projects, which I would like to see deleted in order to enable the Global user page. I understand that this is not an emergency and that most of the projects actually have local communities, but at the same time, due to the sheer number of projects and because deletion is handled so very different on each of the projects, it would make it so much easier for me if a steward would do me the favor of deleting those pages. tr.wikipedia.org, abusement of the sysop authorization and instant deleting of a discussion page about a former article erased improperly

( I am not sure, if I correctly positioned my demand in the right page. Just help me to relocate it. However, I think it is a global issue relating to the steward's corcern).

I struggled for creating an article for a credible Turkish Scholar "celalettin vatandaş", but without considering enough, Turkish member kibele proposed it to be deleted. Voting and the deletion of the logs of discussion of voting within just 36 hours,is another matter. It was about the general problem of pressure and harrassment against new members and the problem of cencorship against new articles in tr.wikipedia.org, becuse of power struggle and biased manner of Turkish sysops. I begun a RFC page about this issue.

The new matter is about my new attempt to create a discussion page for "Celalettin vatandaş". The discussion content was netirely new and it was an invite for users, to discuss the deleting of the article and related general problems. However, the user "Eldarion" instantly deleted the discussion page. This is absolutely abusement of personel authorization. The member even tolarate the freedom of speech and proposal of ideas. This user even reject to listen others. What about our wiki ideals?

I want to have a single user login (because of this http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Single_User_Login_finalisation_announcement), but the problem is that I don't remember my passwords and I don't have email address recorded to get new passwords. Hi, we do that only in very few cases manually. For that to happen you have to clearly proof that these accounts belong to you. That can for example be done via a committed identity (should you have ever done that) or via a clear link from that account to another account that you have access to. MF-W, you might want to clarify your remark. On first glance, it doesn't seem to directly address this user's problem. And مستخدم:ديفيد عادل وهبة خليل 2, you might need to clarify some things, as well: you are posting from an account that has been blocked indefinitely on arwiki, apparently as part of a move from a "temporary account" (back in 2011) to another one. ([16] [17]) Is this why you are posting this request here, because you can't post on the Arabic Wikipedia? But even if that is the case, why have you not posted this request from that "new" account, which seems to own the pages now? (The pages in question are in userspace, as subpages of ar:مستخدم:ديفيد عادل وهبة خليل.) That account does not appear to be blocked (although it has seen no edits since August 2014). OK, but whatever admin/steward deletes the Arabic Wikipedia pages, they will probably want to get the request from the user account that actually owns the pages. You still have a a global account under that username, so you probably should post the request about those Arabic Wikipedia pages from that account. (I'm going to stop saying "Arabic" every time now.) Since you won't post on Wikipedia, and the stewards here at Meta don't want to delete pages on that wiki, you seem to have only one choice left: find a Wikipedia admin who also has an account on another wiki and post your request on that other wiki. Now, User:Ciphers is an admin on Wikibooks, Wikiquote, Wikisource (where your user page has already been deleted), and Wikiversity, but not Wikipedia. Still, Ciphers seems to be relatively active (with edits to Wikisource and Wikipedia in the last couple of months), so a talk page message to that user on Wikisource might get you results. As for Wikipedia, User:محمد عصام is an admin on both Wikisource and Wikipedia (and has edited both Wikisource and Meta several times in the last couple of months), so you can leave a message to that user about your Wikipedia pages. I don't know about the user's pages in the other projects, since they were not listed here. I would say this particular discussion can be marked as closed, since the user was told a way of getting the request fulfilled, whether it actually was or not. +1. Background: There have be thousands of stubs created by bot that are left empty. Example: oc:Berlin-Wannsee = {{Infobox|tematica=|carta=}}{{Intro}}. The user who run the bot is not active any more since February 2014. He stopped his bot in June 2013. --Kolja21 (talk) 14:22, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
