Task/s: importing football data from Infoboxes (and categories ?)

Code: Pywikibot scripts (edited to do the job). github

Function details: My first objective is to extract P54 data from Infoboxes of French Wikipedia (where B0ttle has been approuved as a bot) and, in a second time, from English Wikipedia to complete data.

Basically, for each tuple [club, period] extracted : If the club is not known, I add it as a new claim (P54). If the club is known but is not qualified (most common case), I qualify the current club with dates (P580 and P582). If the club is known but the qualifiers are completly different, I create a new claim. If the club and qualifiers are the same I pass. Else I report on a log file because there is something to verify.

I currently use (and monitor...) the script with the H4stings user. Importing a single player can last up to 1 minute : bot status would be very accommodating. --H4stings (talk) 09:46, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
