- Comment We talked about linking to Musixmatch albums in MusicBrainz (Q14005) and decided not to because they don't seem to have a clear idea of what their album is supposed to mean. Looking at the page for Taylor Swift they have one entry per album (no reissues etc), but looking at the page for Nine Inch Nails there are plenty of duplicates for reissues with bonus tracks etc. As such, we couldn't figure out at what level to link to it. I suspect the same issue exists in Wikidata: which of these should be linked to The Hand That Feeds (Q2418351)? [1] [2] [3]--Reosarevok (talk) 15:47, 7 June 2019 (UTC)

- Strong oppose Following the comment of Reosarevok: For MusicBrainz, there is MusicBrainz release group ID (P436) which allows to have the different precise outputs. In this case, a title, an explanatory subtitle, a date and (sometimes) a photo give us differences. We can not know every time a main output (for example: media support). If required qualifier constraint (Q21510856) and multi-value constraint (Q21510857) could help us, there is too little information and they are too vague. Sorry. —Eihel (talk) 16:36, 2 July 2019 (UTC)
- Strong support Album id same as Apple Music, Google Play Music or Spotify. @Eihel: What is the problem? Eurohunter (talk) 22:48, 28 September 2019 (UTC)
The concerns above haven't been addressed. I'm leaning towards closing this request as not done. Multichill (talk) 10:33, 28 December 2019 (UTC)

- Not done no consensus. per Multichill - there is reasoned opposition and no response as to the concerns raised, with most supporters not providing any explanation. No prejudice against another proposal, but please keep the issues raised here in mind and ping those who commented in this discussion. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 23:20, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
