Discussion
- It would be good to have a specific example for this using wikidata items. We may already have a property that's suitable (or already being used for this)? ArthurPSmith (talk) 17:24, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
@ArthurPSmith: Would you like items or would you like strings? Items might include Erik Menendez (Q28835519) and Lyle Menendez (Q28835514) . Either way this is a more specifically defining property than part of (P361). - Bossanoven (talk) 02:23, 26 May 2018 (UTC and Lyle Menendez (Q28835514)
- @Bossanoven: My question is how in practice you propose expressing this via the Wikidata data model. Is the domain here the crime, or the criminal (which one)? Have you looked at how we are handling this now? And yes the value should be an item also, and not a string, I would think, assuming the crime itself is sufficiently notable to have a wikidata item, then the participants should be notable via the structural justification. - Is there a usecase for why this is more appropriate than to use significant person (P3342) with object of statement has role (P3831) of accomplice (Q706884)? William Graham (talk) 18:01, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
- I guess not. - Bossanoven (talk) 18:26, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
- @William Graham: Wouldn't one want to use subject has role (P2868) instead? - Bossanoven (talk) 02:04, 17 June 2018 (UTC)
