This glitch Pokémon with an unstable name, which depends on the hex ID, exists in Generation VII. Unlike Generation VI 724+ glitch Pokémon, this Pokémon does not modify the save file's checksum to prevent the save file from being loaded.
It will take 1 step to hatch, contrary to what the infobox says.
Appearance
Mostly, they appear as a Bulbasaur. The table below lists some exceptions and applies to English Pokémon Sun.
Hex form | Decimal | Model |
---|---|---|
B0C5 | 45253 | Mega Venusaur |
FF80 | 65408 | Staraptor* |
FFFF | 65535 | Mega Venusaur |
This Pokémon's Abilities vary per hex ID. Some of these even have no Abilities.
When there is no model, the game freezes while viewing any of these Pokémon from the PC Box. Some of these can also freeze the game when their summary is viewed.
In a PC Box
Mostly, they appear as a Bulbasaur. If the game fails to show a model such as hex form 0xB0C5 (which can appear as a Mega Venusaur under certain circumstances), the game freezes with an error message.
In Pokémon Refresh
These Pokémon appear as a supersized Bulbasaur without a cry.
In battle
It's impossible to use them in a battle, since the game freezes before they are even sent out.
In the Alola Photo Club and Poké Pelago
These Pokémon all appear as Eggs.
Trading
One can start a Wonder Trade with one of these Pokémon, but the game will report something went wrong and cancel the trade. It can be traded otherwise with or without the fateful encounter flag.
