I have been interested in pokémon ever since I was four years of age. When I first liked pokémon I was more into the merchandise than anything else. Back then, I also enjoyed watching the anime. I did not own many pokémon games and the only two games that I did own, pokémon gold and pokémon crystal, were not played very much. Sadly, all the memory on pokémon gold was lost two years ago due to the internal battery problem. Pokémon crystal's memory ran out early this year which is a real shame since I had some very good pokémon on there. I can now no longer play either of them, I can't even just make a new saved file since everytime I save and then reload the game, it just keeps saying 'new game' rather than a saved one. I am now hoping for Gold and Silver remakes so that I can start over again in Johto. It was about seven years ago that I last played through the entire game and about three years ago that I played the game again on the same saved file on crystal. I was very pleased with the remakes of Red and Blue as I had never played those games before. I now hope that all the rumors about a remake of gold and silver are true. I always used to like Ampharos for some reason or another and trained quite a few on pokémon gold. I ended up with a level 73 Ampharos and a level 100 Ampharos which I cloned with the cloning glitch with my friend. Now that I have lost these Ampharos due the internal battery dying, I have two new Ampharos. One is at level 80 on my pokémon emerald. The other has been trained much and is only at level 42, he is currently on pokemon pearl. When pokémon ruby and sapphire came out I was only seven or eight years of age and I had not played much of pokémon gold or crystal. By then, I still adored collecting pokémon plush dolls and toys, but was starting to lose interest in the anime. My main interest in the pokémon games started with pokémon sapphire. I started out with a female Treecko which has become one of my main pokémon in the 3rd generations games now. I still use her today and she is a level 97 Sceptile now. When I first brought sapphire, I did not understand much about how the game worked. Ruby was actually going to be my main game, but I started playing sapphire and got addicted to it and forgot about poor old ruby. I actually lost my pokémon ruby game pak about six years ago and since then I have moved home. I still have not found the game and the only thing I think of is that I left it behind at my old house. I have brought a new ruby game in which I haven beaten all the gyms, but I have not bothered much about beating the elite four. My main game in this gen is pokémon pearl mainly because everyone seems to like pokémon diamond more and, I do not mean this in any offensive way, I do not feel like being a sheep, or a Mareep as the case may be here. I recently got pokérus on pokémon pearl in august 2008. I was training my Charmeleon and was battling him agaisnt wild pokémon. I am not sure when he got the virus, but when I checked on my team at one point, I almost had I heart attack when it said pkrs at the top right corner. I could not believe it, I never thought I would get pokérus or a shiny pokémon. I never have gotten a shiny by the way, I made a 20 Shellos chain link with the poké radar once, but still no shiny. I have no way to trade through wi-fi because my cable broadband does not support it, so please don't ask me to trade a pokémon with pokérus with you. I hear you can get free wi-fi at Mcdonalds due to it being a hotspot. If I can somehow connect there, then this page will be updated to inform that I will be willing to trade one or two pokémon with pokérus. I only have two pokémon with pokérus at the moment that have pokérus and that I am willing to trade. Both are not very good, one is a level 15 or something Zubat and the other is a level 2 female Doduo. Since pokérus is very rare (though maybe not as rare as a shiny) I would like something decent if I am ever able to trade through wi-fi. I don't just want a Bidoof please, I might be willing to trade for something like a Bidoof later on if I do ever get the pokérus onto more pokémon. But for now, the virus is not on a how bunch of my pokémon. Most of my pokémon with pokérus are my legendary pokémon and a few other pokémon, mainly ones that I have hatched from eggs. If I am able to connect to wi-fi at some point, I will list the pokémon that I desire for the pokérus. I will not accept any other pokémon that is not listed unless mentioned. Anywho, let's get back to where I was... Er, now where was I? Ah, yes! Pokémon pearl, I remember now! I am currently trying to complete the pokédex on the game. I have never really bothered with completing pokédexes before, but this generation I want to give it a shot. I have so far collected around 371 of the 493 pokémon so I only have around 100 to go. My local woolworths did an event recently in which you could download Darkrai. I live in Britain and these events at woolworths across the country were to promote The Rise Of Darkrai movie which has only just recently come out where I live. I have watched the movie and found it to be okayish, but it was a little boring in some parts. I have lost all interest in the anime now. In my opinion, it is rather childish and gives pokémon its name of being 'childish' to people who dislike pokémon, but those people have probably never played the games. I still wacth the new movies that come out since I have found some of them too be rather good, but most I have wacthed are rather boring. The Pokémon 4ever movie had got to be the most boring one I've wacthed. I did find it rather interesting in some parts, but it was rather childish and boresome for me. I do not want to be offensive to anyone who likes the anime, this is just my opinion. I still hold some interest in the card game, but I perfer to collect the cards rather than actually play the game. I want to an offical trading card club a while back. I brought a deck of mine and won one game, lost one and on another one, the other person had to go so it was a draw. I did find playing the game to be somewhat fun, but I am still not that interested and have not gone back to the club since. Now back to woolworths; the event that I went to at my local woolworths was actually first ever pokémon event I've been to. I have not been to any others before because they rarely have downloadable events where I live and I normally don't hear about the events untill they're over. And when I do hear about the events before they have begun, they are too far away for me to get to. The Darkrai that I have gotten has been given pokérus and has spent most of his time in the pc box. I would like to get Mew from My Pokémon Ranch, but I have not got the game because my nintendo wii can no longer connect to my new broadband. I did download Pokémon Snap a while back though when my wii could connect to the internet. I had not gotten this game before and found it to be rather good, but far too simple and short. Sadly, when I had gotten the new broadband I had also gotten Super Smash Bros. Brawl so I have never played online with that before. I did play online with Mario Kart Wii a bit though. I may get online again with my Wii again at some point, but I will need to get a new broadband with wi-fi first and that will take a while.
Now you'll probably think that because I am a girl, I like pokémon because of all the cute little pokémon out there like Piplup. Well far from it! No, I am not one of those girls that fall for the power of the cute side. There is nothing cute about a fluffy little kitten to me. I am far more of a tom boy than a girl that would just do anything to cuddle a little puppy. I prefer the creatures that would be considered, er, less cuddly... Like reptiles for one example. I just love crocodiles and the now extinct dinosaurs. I also adore the mythical dragons and griffins. That said, I like pretty much all animals. There are no animals that I just hate and there aren't any least favourite animals for me. As said before in the 'About Moi' section, I do not like the anime of pokémon very much. I did used to like the older anime of pokémon. Back when the 151 original pokémon were the only pokémon in existence, the anime seemed a little less childish for me. I really think the anime has gone down hill since then. Now, I am sorry if you are an anime lover and are offended by what I am saying, but this is just my opinion on the anime. The anime always follows the same old routine, Ash and co meet a new pokémon (well, this normally happens, doesn't always), team rocket come and steal Pikachu and/or other pokémon, Pikachu thunderbolts team rocket, team rocket say they are blasting off again, Ash and co go off in search of new pokémon or to find another gym, some moral is learnt in the episode that has probably been learnt before. So I really have no interest in the anime what so ever. However, I do enjoy most of the pokémon games. Okay, now I have to admit that many pokémon games are repetitive, but addictive. For me, catching pokémon, training pokémon, trading pokémon and battling pokémon is just plain fun while it lasts. I also like many of the spin-off pokémon games as well though. I liked the mystery dungeon games, although I know many didn't think they were too good due to their terrible graphics and repetitive nature. But in my opinion, what more can you expect from nintendo? The pokémon company always recycles things in their games and never have the most breathtaking of graphics either. Not that I am saying they make bad games, they must be getting somewhere after all considering pokémon is the second best selling nintendo game series falling only behind Mario. One of the things I love about the pokémon games is their replay value, at least for me anyway. They are some games like pokémon ranger that once I have played through, I don't want to play through again. But then there are other like the mystery dungeon games and the main series games that I will always go back to again and again... Eventually... I also like collecting the trading cards, but only collecting them, I never really play the game. But I have to admit that the main reason for me loving pokémon so much is because of the pokémon themselves. I have liked pokémon ever since I was four years old, and now I am fourteen. I don't know how much longer I will love pokémon for, but I still adore it now so it may be for some time yet.
