Pollen Puff (Japanese: かふんだんご Pollen Ball) is a damage-dealing Bug-type move introduced in Generation VII. Prior to Generation VIII, it was the signature move of Ribombee. It was TR96 in Generation VIII, and is TM131 in Generation IX.

Effect

Pollen Puff's effect varies depending on the target. If it targets an opponent, it deals damage. If it targets an ally, it restores up to 50% of the target's maximum HP. Pokémon with Bulletproof are immune to both effects of Pollen Puff. Telepathy blocks the healing effect of Pollen Puff if used by an ally.

Pokémon affected by Heal Block cannot target allies with Pollen Puff (but they can target an opponent); if a Pokémon would use Pollen Puff targeting an ally, but is affected by Heal Block when it would use Pollen Puff, it cannot use the move. If a Pokémon is affected by Heal Block, it cannot be healed by other Pokémon's Pollen Puff.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Pollen Puff cannot be selected in a battle.

Pokémon UNITE

In Pokémon UNITE, Pollen Puff is Eldegoss's first move. It is obtained by evolving from Gossifleur at level 4 and upgrading Leafage into it instead of Leaf Tornado. The user throws a puff of pollen, which attaches to any Pokémon that touches it. After a delay the puff will explode, damaging enemies and healing allies around it. At level 11, if attached to an enemy, the puff will deal damage over time. If attached to an ally, it will reduce the damage they receive by 20% for 2s.
