Pokémon Card Channel

Pokémon Card Channel (Japanese: ポケモンカードチャンネル Pokémon Card Channel; also known as ポケカチャンネル Pokéca Channel) is the official Japanese YouTube channel for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. The channel account was created on September 23, 2016, but its official launch was on October 7 of the same year, on which the channel's first video was uploaded — October 2016 is the month of the Pokémon TCG's 20th anniversary.

The channel hosts a variety of content related to the Pokémon Trading Card Game (including Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket), such as reveals of expansions, cards, and merchandise; Pokémon TCG matches; deck building; tips, tricks, and suggestions on how to play; and other miscellaneous content such as minigames. The channel also hosts livestreams, including official livestreams of the Japanese Pokémon TCG Championships League. New contents are uploaded to the channel almost every day.

The channel's current opening and ending theme songs are Nijirald and Chan-Dan, respectively. Both theme songs were written and performed for the channel by the band Rhythmic Toy World.[1]

Active: April 16, 2020[2] – present
He started playing the Pokémon TCG during the release of the GX Battle Boost subset.[2] Prior to auditioning for the Pokémon Card Channel, he was an active player in tournaments, reaching the finals of the 2019 City Leagues 3 out of 4 times and finishing within Top 16 each time.[3] His pseudonym derives from Raichu, which is one of his favorite Pokémon, among others such as Pachirisu and Emolga.[2]
His introductory catchphrase is 「ライライチュウチュウ！ポケカに夢中！どうも、ライチュ梅川です。」 "Rairaichuchu! Pokéca ni muchu! Dōmo, Raichu Umekawa desu."
  • Nanapple[4] (Japanese: ななっぷる)
Active: April 16, 2020[2] – present
Also known as Nana Odagiri (Japanese: 小田桐奈々 Odagiri Nana), she is a former idol who led the group "Houkago Princess" for 7 years.[5] Her pseudonym derives from Tarupple, the Japanese name of Appletun.[2]
Her introductory catchphrase is 「おはよう諸君！ななっぷるです。」 "Ohayō shokun! Nanapple desu."
  • Kucheat Takeuchi (Japanese: クチート竹内)
Active: June 2022[1] – present
Sometimes called "Takeuchi" or "Takechi" (Japanese: たけちー). His hobbies include photography and collecting plushies. His favorite Pokémon include Nidoking, Houndoom, Sceptile, Mawile, Flygon, Salamence, Piplup, Bidoof, Luxray, and Obstagoon.[6] His pseudonym derives from Kucheat, the Japanese name of Mawile.
His introductory catchphrase is 「よろしクチート！クチート竹内です！」 "Yoroshikucheat! Kucheat Takeuchi desu!"
  • Yopifoot (Japanese: よぴふっと)
Active: June 2022[1] – present
Sometimes called "Yopi". His hobbies include soccer and playing the drums, having done both for over 10 years. His favorite Pokémon include Cinderace, Raboot, Scorbunny, Snivy, Eiscue, Jolteon, Oricorio, Absol, and Mimikyu.[6] His pseudonym derives from Rabbifuto, the Japanese name of Raboot.
His introductory catchphrase is 「おはよっぴー！よぴふっとです！」 "Ohayoppi! Yopifoot desu!"

Other channels

On August 11, 2021, the official Traditional Chinese YouTube channel for the Pokémon TCG was established, known as (Traditional Chinese: 寶可夢集換式卡牌遊戲頻道 Pokémon Jíhuànshì Kǎpái Yóuxì Píndào; lit. "Pokémon Collectible Card Game Channel"). Its first video was uploaded on October 20, 2021 — the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon TCG. It is presented and managed separately from the Japanese YouTube channel, although the two channels occasionally create crossover content.
