(Japanese: パゴゴ Pagogo) is a Terapagos that Liko received as a pendant from her grandmother, Diana. It is the first Pokémon Liko caught in the land of Kitakami, and her third overall.

History
Pre-series
With Rystal
100 years prior to the events of the series, Rystal found Terapagos when she visited Paldea's Great Crater and nicknamed it "Pagogo". One day, she was running away from a group of thieves who wanted to steal Pagogo, but the two were saved by Lucius, who scared the thieves away with his Rayquaza. Not scared of Rayquaza, Pagogo quickly befriended it. Since then, Rystal and Pagogo accompanied Lucius as he caught the remaining members of the Six Heroes and sought the Pokémon paradise Laqua. On another day, Gibeon and his Zygarde also joined the group thanks to their shared interest in Laqua.
The trio, now known as the Explorers, eventually found Laqua. However, Gibeon's obsession over the Laquium that was found deep within the paradise caused the crystals to expand and spread its mist across Laqua. The crystals started destroying everything and making wild Pokémon go feral. Lucius and Rystal worked together to put a stop to it, and in response, Pagogo changed into its Stellar Form. It used its powers on the Six Heroes to seal the Laquium away inside a giant barrier, but with Lucius trapped inside as well. Afterwards, Pagogo fell into a deep sleep in its dormant, crystal-like state. After Rystal subsequently left Laqua, she started carrying the dormant Pagogo around in a pendant, hoping it'd awaken someday.
After Rystal's death, the dormant Pagogo was left within a briefcase in her daughter Leila's home's attic, alongside Lucius's diary.
With Diana
Many years later, Terapagos was discovered by Leila's daughter, Diana, as a young girl. Unaware that it was a Pokémon, Diana began her journey together with her Growlithe and the dormant Terapagos around her neck, hoping to uncover the mysterious past of the Ancient Adventurer Lucius. Terapagos remained completely dormant in her possession until she gifted it to her granddaughter Liko one year before the events of the series, telling her that it would become important to her in the future. Some time after this, Hamber, an old friend of Diana's, offered to introduce her to someone who could help her with her adventures. However, when he arrived at her home, she learned that Hamber was a member of a suspicious organization known as the Explorers, which wanted the pendant for an unknown purpose. Fearing for her granddaughter's safety as it was now in her possession, she enlisted the help of the Rising Volt Tacklers to protect her.
Pokémon Horizons: The Series
Terapagos first appeared in its dormant state in The Pendant That Starts It All (Part One). During her stay at Indigo Academy, Liko was approached by Amethio, who claimed he was sent by Diana to retrieve and return the pendant to her. Finding the situation suspicious, Liko instead took the pendant and fled her dormitory. Later, after being cornered by Amethio, Zirc, and Onia, Liko was rescued by a man named Friede. While Friede's Charizard battled Amethio's Ceruledge, Liko took the opportunity to escape just as a stray Psycho Cut flew towards her. The pendant glowed and created a protective barrier, protecting Liko and her Sprigatito from harm. Inside the barrier, Liko briefly saw Terapagos's true form before it reverted back into its pendant state.
In The Treasure After the Storm!, during her search for Fuecoco, she found a tree stump with eaten Berries. The wild Pokémon in the forest believed that she and her Sprigatito had eaten them and began to chase her. As they were being chased, Liko's pendant started to glow alongside Roy's Ancient Poké Ball as he approached them and helped them escape.
In the next episode, the Explorers attacked the Rising Volt Tacklers. Liko and her Sprigatito were able to defeat Onia in battle, but she was then attacked by Amethio's Corviknight, nearly getting captured by its talons before her pendant activated again, creating another barrier to protect her. Just then, Liko's pendant and Roy's Ancient Poké Ball reacted in unison, and from the Poké Ball, a Black Rayquaza was released. The Explorers were then forced to retreat, and the Rayquaza stared at Liko before flying away. She decided to continue looking into her pendant's mystery as the Rising Volt Tacklers traveled to Paldea.
In The Future I Choose, after helping Arboliva restore the Arboliva's Forest, Terapagos, in its dormant state, began to glow, transforming itself into its Normal Form. This caused Arboliva to share a vision of a mysterious man to the group. After the vision was shown, Terapagos reverted back to its pendant form and Arboliva returned to its Ancient Poké Ball, allowing Liko to take it under her care. Afterward, Liko decided she wanted to see her grandmother to learn more about the pendant.
In Fly! Wattrel!!, Liko went to Levincia by herself after she saw an advertisement for a jar of Spicy Herba Mystica on her Rotom Phone that Murdock had been looking for. In reality, however, the advertisement was created by Spinel to separate her from the group. He then used his Beheeyem to erase Liko's memories and steal her pendant. The pendant remained under Spinel's possession until Quaxly, We Can Do It, where, after Dot signalled Liko and Roy to a cargo ship where Spinel was hiding by using her Quaxly's Water Gun, the group challenged him to a battle. Spinel, commanding his Pokémon remotely from a hidden location, battled with his Magneton and Beheeyem, who were defeated by the group. However, they quickly got overwhelmed by his final Pokémon, Umbreon. Their desire to protect Terapagos caused the pendant to glow brightly, revealing where Spinel was hiding and allowing Sprigatito to retrieve the pendant.
In Charge! Galar Mine!, the group encountered a Galarian Moltres that had an Ancient Poké Ball, indicating that it had belonged to the ancient adventurer Lucius just like Arboliva. However, they were forced to retreat after Moltres had defeated them and injured Captain Pikachu. In the next episode, Liko and Roy returned to the Galar Mine and battled the Malevolent Pokémon in an attempt to calm it down. After successfully calming Moltres down with Sprigatito's aromatic Leafage, Liko's pendant started to glow and transformed into Terapagos. It began to communicate with the Moltres, after which it returned to its Ancient Poké Ball and allowed Liko to take it under her care. After this point, Terapagos no longer reverted to its dormant state inside the pendant, instead choosing to remain awakened to travel alongside Liko. This was noticed by Amethio, who would tell his teammates that they planned to steal the mysterious Pokémon.
In Reunion at the Ancient Castle!, Terapagos accompanied Liko to an ancient castle in Hammerlocke to meet up with her grandmother, Diana. With the help of her Squawkabilly, the group reunited with Diana, and Terapagos was happy to see her again. However, the Explorers were on their trail, having tracked down Diana's concealed castle. After Amethio and his teammates had broken into the castle, Terapagos expressed anger towards him. In the next episode, Terapagos escaped with Liko and Roy until the two Trainers were forced to battle their pursuers. After the rest of the Rising Volt Tacklers arrived, Terapagos was taken back to the airship with Liko and Roy.
In Terapagos's Adventure, after Terapagos refused to eat, it decided to explore the airship, including the captain's deck, the kitchen, the engine room, and Dot's room. Eventually it sneaks outside and appears to be calling for someone, however, it almost falls out of the ship, but is saved by Liko and Diana.
In The Brilliant Terapagos Expedition, Terapagos was shown exploring the Brave Olivine and getting along with many of the Pokémon that live there, including Dot's Quaxly, Roy's Fuecoco, and Liko's Sprigatito, the latter being very annoyed with its presence at first, but warming up to Terapagos eventually.
In Slip and Crash! A Mystery Pokémon?!, Terapagos was invited to watch a battle between Shuckle and a wild Polteageist. However, the battle was called off, as Terapagos and its friends partook in welcoming Polteageist to the group. They were then joined by Liko's Sprigatito, Roy's Fuecoco, and Dot's Quaxly in welcoming Polteageist.
In Song Within the Mist, Terapagos found out through Liko and her friends that its old friend Lapras was nearby. After Liko and her friends were able to draw Lapras out, Terapagos was happy to see it. However, in the next episode, Terapagos saw that Lapras decided to flee with its friends, and decided to talk to it. Through Arboliva and Moltres's help, Terapagos was able to convince Lapras that their friends were its friends as well. After Lapras decided to join the group, Terapagos witnessed the Black Rayquaza arriving at their location.
In Roar of the Black Rayquaza, as Black Rayquaza appeared to the Rising Volt Tacklers and easily defeated Amethio, Terapagos transformed into its Terastal Form to defend its friends, having its Tera Starstorm clash with Rayquaza's Draco Meteor. After that, however, Terapagos passed out from exhaustion and Rayquaza left, so it was taken to the Brave Olivine and treated by Mollie.
In Farewell, Sprigatito?, during a training battle with Roy's Fuecoco, Terapagos wandered onto the battlefield, right into the path of Sprigatito's Leafage. Liko stepped in to defend Terapagos, causing her to get hit instead. Later, when Liko went to look for Sprigatito at Marnya's house, Terapagos decided to follow her. Later, shortly after arriving in the bouse's garden, Terapagos and Hatenna were captured by a wild Spidops. With its newly-learnt Magical Leaf, Sprigatito was able to simultaneously defeat Spidops and free her friends.
In The Plan to Capture Rayquaza, the Explorers used a machine to recreate Terapagos's energy signal and lure the Black Rayquaza out into a trap. In the following episode, the Explorers fled after realizing they were unable to weaken the Black Rayquaza enough. Liko, Roy, Friede, and Dot challenged Rayquaza to a battle, which it accepted. Once the battle was over, Rayquaza briefly looked at Liko before taking off into the skies once more.
In HZ046, as Liko started to study at Naranja Academy with Roy and Dot, Terapagos was brought along hidden inside a bag so it couldn't call too much attention.
In HZ048, Terapagos helped Liko with her painting for the Artazon Art Festival along with Hatenna and Floragato.
In HZ055, Liko left Terapagos in Dot's care while she faced Rika in the Elite Four Tag Battle. When Terapagos snuck off and wandered off into the academy's library, Dot and Quaxly were forced to chase after it. In the following episode, Terapagos was found by Penny, who was investigating "Agepan". Later, while looking through the Scarlet Book Agepan was reading, Dot discovered a sketch of a large creature bearing resemblance to Terapagos.
In HZ057, knowing about Terapagos sightings in Paldea through old records, Liko, Roy, Dot, and Friede visited Clavell and Geeta hoping they'd know something about them. They revealed old sketches of Terapagos's Normal and Terastal Forms, claiming it possessed a strong connection to the Terastal phenomenon and that it was once sighted within the Great Crater of Paldea, in Area Zero, which was recorded in the Scarlet Book, supposedly in its third form. Later on, during their travels with Raifort, Liko imagined Lucius and Terapagos in ancient Paldea.
In HZ064, after an encounter with Amethio on Glaseado Mountain, Liko was forced to battle him in order to keep Terapagos safe. They were interrupted by Spinel, who revealed he came into possession of a shard of Laquium, which he used to power up his Umbreon. Infuriated by this, Terapagos changed into its Terastal Form, purified Umbreon of the Laquium's effect, and destroyed the shard before falling unconscious. Terapagos later awakened inside a cave that Spinel trapped it, Liko, and Amethio inside of. Despite Amethio's insistence that capturing it was the last thing on his mind at the moment, Terapagos ignored his words and angrily yelled at him.
In HZ068, Terapagos summoned Arboliva, Moltres, and Lapras out of their Ancient Poké Balls to test Liko, Roy and Dot's progress as Trainers. After they succeeded in impressing the heroes, Terapagos was pleased with the results and called the entire battle off, returning the three Pokémon to their Poké Balls.
In HZ071, as Briar appeared at the Crystal Pool, she was surprised to see Terapagos and started chasing it down, much to its unamusement. Later, as suggested by her, the Rising Volt Tacklers returned to the Crystal Pool so Terapagos attempted to communicate with Lucius by using the Crystal Pool's rumored ability to summon the deceased. Despite its best efforts, Terapagos was unable to call on Lucius's spirit.
In HZ074, after learning about the existence of Rystal, the Rising Volt Tacklers travelled to the Crystal Pool once more and had Terapagos try and call on the spirit of Rystal this time. This attempt was successful, allowing them to meet Terapagos's former Trainer when she was still alive in addition to her child, Leila. In the next episode, after Rystal retells her, Gibeon, and Lucius's journey to Laqua, Rystal returned to her original time, though not before asking Liko to take care of her former partner, filling Terapagos with sadness. After being given a Poké Ball by Friede, Liko caught Terapagos, formally adding it to her team, and started using the nickname Rystal once gave it: "Pagogo".
Personality and characteristics
Due to their shared history, Terapagos's pendant form is shown to glow whenever it's near one of Lucius's Ancient Poké Balls and is even capable to opening them if necessary, as seen in The Ancient Poké Ball. In Terapagos's Adventure, it was shown to have a curious and inquisitive personality, exploring and wandering the Rising Volt Tacklers base on its own, due to being in its dormant form for a very long time. Pagogo has also shown to be friendly around Pokémon, as seen in As Long as I'm with My Friends, when it quickly befriended a wild Drednaw. However, despite mostly being friendly around Pokémon, Pagogo has shown to get along with people as well. In addition, Pagogo enjoys eating Berries, as they are the only things it will eat.
It also seems to have a strong desire to protect Liko from harm, summoning barriers made up of overlapping hexagons to shield her from attacks like Psycho Cut from Amethio's Ceruledge, from his Corviknight's talons and even from the Black Rayquaza's Draco Meteor. It also seemed to have gotten agitated when it saw Amethio in Reunion at the Ancient Castle! because of his actions in hurting Liko and trying to take it away from her. Pagogo seems to be attached to Liko as it took a liking to her, after she expressed determination to save it from the Explorers in Quaxly, We Can Do It. Pagogo also seems to like sleeping in Liko's backpack. Pagogo even became friends with Liko's Floragato and Hattrem, as its spends most of its time hanging out with them.
Although it doesn't seem to battle that much, Pagogo would do so if its friends were put in danger, as shown in Roar of the Black Rayquaza, when it transformed and battled the Black Rayquaza in order to protect the Rising Volt Tacklers, especially Liko. Pagogo also showed an interest in battling, as shown in Farewell, Sprigatito?, when it tried to join Liko and Roy's practice battle. As seen in The Plan to Capture Rayquaza, Pagogo has the ability to call for the Black Rayquaza with a specific energy signal. Additionally, in HZ054, Gibeon claims that Pagogo's "awakening" is the key to reach the paradise.
In HZ064, when Spinel showed a Laquium shard to Pagogo, it became angry, causing Pagogo to transform into its Terastal Form and shine a bright light, purifying Spinel's Umbreon of its influence and destroying the shard in the process. Spinel came to the conclusion that Pagogo and the Laquium are opposing forces to each other in some fashion. Pagogo has a strong connection to all of the Six Heroes and Lucius, always attempting to call out to them and being extremely happy everytime they meet again. In HZ074, Pagogo was shown to have a strong bond with its former trainer Rystal, showing great happiness and excitement to a picture of her and when it reunites with her in HZ075, also showing immense sadness when she "leaves".

Trivia
- Pagogo's debut in the animated series was the first time that Terapagos was ever shown in its Normal Form, as it had previously only been revealed in its Terastal Form.[3][4] It was not identified as Terapagos until the August 8, 2023 Pokémon Presents, months later.[5]
- In the closed captioning for the TV Tokyo broadcast of HZ023, Terapagos was referred to as コダイカメ Kodaikame (from 古代亀 kodai kame, literally "ancient turtle").[6] This was officially confirmed as an error by the @anipoke_PR Twitter account.[7]
- It took 73 episodes from Pagogo's debut to its capture, longer than with any other Pokémon in the animated series.
- Pagogo's capture was foreshadowed in Only One Story, where it is seen appearing when Liko sends out her Pokémon.
- Pagogo is the first Legendary Pokémon to be owned by a female main character.
- Pagogo is the only Pokémon so far owned by any of the younger members of the Rising Volt Tacklers:
- To not be part of an evolutionary line.
- That has a nickname.
- Pagogo is the only Pokémon owned by Liko that doesn't have a confirmed gender.
