pes10k has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/webrtc-svc: == Align exposing `scalabilityMode` with the WebRTC "hardware capabilities" check == This issue is being filed as part of the https://github.com/w3cping/privacy-request/issues/117 There have been discussions in other issues around preventing WebRTC-related hardware capabilities from being used for browser fingerprinting. For example - https://github.com/w3c/webrtc-stats/pull/732#issuecomment-1426475788 - https://github.com/w3c/webrtc-stats/issues/730 This issue is to verify that sites would be unable to learn `scalabilityMode` before the [6.1. Limiting of Hardware Capabilities](https://w3c.github.io/webrtc-stats/#limiting-exposure-of-hardware-capabilities) checks have passed (or if not, that other comparable protections are in place). It might also be ideal to reference the above check in this spec Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/webrtc-svc/issues/92 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
