Easter Sunday Celebration

Our celebration truly begins with Christ's resurrection every Sunday... Every DAY for that matter! Amen!
The boys know the Easter bunny doesn't exist, but its still fun to pretend. We don't make a big deal out of the big bunny anyways.

Here's Veronica with her first Easter basket.
The basket is the best part...

Vincent happy with his night vision goggles!

Zack all ready for Mass.

My little diva on her bed munching on chocolate for breakfast.

Veronica dolled up for church!

Here are the kids after Mass at St. Patrick's.
Its really hard to get all four of them looking towards the camera with a happy face!

My handsome boys!

Veronica and Mommy.

We had Easter lunch at our house.
Jason's idea... Easter egg wine bottle stopper for a chicken-labeled bottle.

Veronica with her Grandpa/God Father.

Francesca playing with an Easter toy from her
basket from Grandma and Grandpa.

Uncle Ray and Jason, wine glasses in hand.

Fresca and Gramma!

The egg hunt begins!

Maya, her mom and my cousin Jeff were here as well.

A good one of Linda Paz and Veronica.

Francesca scored lots of candy... trouble is brewing.

Easter Egg Dyeing

Saturday we dyed our eggs. Most were store bought white eggs but we tried a few of our farm fresh brown eggs. I liked the way those turned out! The butterfly egg was a brown one and is dedicated to Gramma Cathy :)

For part of the time, Veronica was content chewing on an egg dipper.

Fresca enjoyed her first time coloring eggs.

Her hands got very green and yellow as well! Each time she dyed an egg she peeled it immediately. She ate one and the other two peeled eggs ended up back in the dye!

The boys had an egg hunt when their eggs were done drying.

L.A. or Bust!

Last weekend I had a girl's weekend! My little girls, my mom, and I drove down to the L.A. area to visit our family. We had a really nice time. Here's some shots from our precious time:

My cousin Laura (far right) hosted a family get together in her lovely home.
Here are the cousins- Michelle, me, Diana, and Laura

Laura's sweet 2 year old daughter Madison.
She was so good a sharing toys and sippy cups with Francesca!

My cousin Michelle's son, Bailey,
indulged us with posing with his 2nd cousin baby girls.

Aunt Cindy smooching her big brother, Uncle Joe, with my mom on the right.

Its interesting to see the times change... not too long ago my cousins and I were the "kids" at family get togethers....
this time Laura and her husband were the hosts.

So here's to the "old-timers" ha ha!
Too bad Aunt Diane couldn't be there this time!
Aunt Cindy had their childhood home movies transferred to DVD and we got to see them as children on the tv screen.
It was so precious to see movies of them little, the big Italian family parties,
and to see my grandmother... she looked like a 1950's movie star!

Here's on to my visit with my dear sister Kathy.
Here's her handsome son, my nephew Christian.

He wasn't shy holding Veronica. It was so sweet. :)

Kathy and I had taken the girls to a park near her home but I forgot my camera. We had a nice time watching the girls play and getting in some girl talk.

The visit went too fast as usual. We left Monday after a trip to a mall in Santa Clarita for lunch and good byes.

My mom, Fresca, Veronica, and #1 auntie Kathy.

Here they are looking at the koi pond. Looking at them from afar... makes me really miss my sister. Something about seeing things from a distance I suppose. Perhaps the sentimental soundtrack from my friend's blog playing in the back round as I write is helping this feeling. The all-too familiar feeling of missing my family that lives far away.

I miss you Kathy! I wish we could have more face to face girl talk!

One last shot...
