This Article explores analyzes shortcomings in ethical codes governing international human rights... more This Article explores analyzes shortcomings in ethical codes governing international human rights lawyers and proposes an alternate regime. International human rights lawyers face unique challenges related to client identity, victimhood narratives, and varying cultural practices. Existing juris-dictional codes, institutional guidelines, and rules of special tribunals inadequately address such challenges. More broadly, solutions in the literature fail to sufficiently address problems related to client identity and competing cultural norms. This Article presents a regime that builds on existing codes and develops minimum standards for international human rights lawyers.

This paper provides an overview of existing international laws and conventions, examines U.S. programs on new military technologies, engages with ethical issues and provides recommendations for the way forward.

With several countries and nearly all Pakistani provinces under virtual lockdown, Pakistani businesses should be concerned about COVID-19’s impact on their commercial contracts. Contracts related to the shipping, transportation, construction, tourism, textiles, chemicals, automobiles, energy, as well as those in other industrial sectors may be impacted. Considering general uncertainty about COVID- 19’s impact on businesses, it is important to examine options available to Pakistani contract parties. This note provides a broad overview of available strategies and remedies.
