42K views · 4K reactions | How to maximize your training sessions ⬇️ Have a focus ✅ If you are going to take swings but all you are trying to accomplish is a certain amount of swings… you are not getting better. ❌ Have a plan. Know what you want to attack that day so you can really improve. In this session w/ @gretta.grassel we really focused on staying focused on driving the opposite field. Where she has been struggling is getting pull happy and only creating contact to the pull side. With her ability she can create power to all sides of the field. In order for her to do that, we have to practice this and make it a habit. With every swing we had the focus of 1. Head down(seeing the ball I set on the ground) not focusing on where the ball goes but truly seeing the ball hit the bat 2. Belly button facing the SS. When she gets comfortable she can get a little spinny and rolls over and gets way out front. Forcing her to see this cue after every swing allowed her to see it deep and understand where she’s truly trying to take the ball to. 3. Shoelaces to the SS. This is very similar to #2 where it’s another way of really seeing if she is DRIVING her body towards that direction. If the shoelaces are facing the pull side, she probably spun.
