Yes and sort-of… you can use a simple method involving baking soda, salt, water, and aluminum foil to clean silver items. This method is particularly effective for silver that has tarnished over time. Here’s how you can do it: 1. Line a glass baking dish with aluminum foil, shiny side up. 2. Place the tarnished silver items on top of the aluminum foil. 3. Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the silver items. 4. Pour boiling water over the silver items, making sure they are completely covered. 5. Let the silver items soak in the solution for a few minutes to several hours, depending on the level of tarnish.
