A broken CD isn't much good to anyone. Unless you're Sean Avery that is. Because while most of us would just throw them in the trash, the South Africa-born, Australia-based artist turns them into various dazzling animal sculptures. He makes them by gluing CD shards to wire mesh frames shaped like different animals, and as you can see from his iridescent animal kingdom, there seems to be no limit to the types of creatures he can create.

These were all interesting to print out as backgounds I thought.. so I found these on the internet and printed some..they were wonderful! It printed out on 8.5 x 14 paper or fabric!

The old-fashioned crafts were once commonplace, and most people had mastered at least one of these vintage skills. But nowadays, precious few still practice these skills of old that were once so widely spread. The crafting of handmade items is seen as something time consuming and unnecessary. But I think that the practising of these crafts are vitally important to human beings.
