Qais Mohammadi
Qais Mohammadi is Assistant Professor for the faculty of Economics at Kardan University, Kabul Afghanistan. He has been teaching economics for the past seven years. However, he has been a teacher at various capacities for more than eleven years now. He specializes in teaching introductory Statistics and Economics. He is currently the Head of Economics Department at Kardan University. He teaches International Political Economy in MIR department and Economic Theory in MBA department of Kardan University.
Qais Mohammadi received his BSc in Economics and Statistics from Kabul University (2011) and his Masters in Economics from Punjab University, Chandigarh India (2014). Likewise, he has studied high school in Ghulam Haidar Khan High School, Kabul.
Recently, he has been awarded the ACBSP Regional Teaching Excellence Award for 2019, for South Asia. He has also been awarded the President’s Award at Kardan Universities in 2019. He has received the Best Lecturer’s Award of the Faculty of Economics in 2018 in Kardan University. Additionally, he has been awarded “Academic Excellence Award” in 2018 by the Vice Chancellor of Kardan University.
His research is primarily in the areas of Political Economics. He has authored many scholarly articles on the economy of Afghanistan such as his research paper on “Chabahar: The decay of Geo strategic importance of Afghanistan and Pakistan”, “Factors Affecting Employee’s Performance: A Case of Kabul Based Government Employees”, “Challenges Faced by Startups and Small and Medium Enterprises: A Case Study of Kabul Province ” “Domestic and Regional Challenges facing TAPI”, and many other articles published in local and regional Magazine.
On the other hand, he is the author of “Introduction to Statistics” a book used as text book and reference book for students of Management Sciences and Economics in various universities. He has also authored “Basic Glossary of Economics” for the students of Business and Economics in 2019.
Qais Mohammadi teaches courses in the fields of (Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, International Political Economics, Development Economics, International Economics, Statistics, Econometrics and Research Methodology). He lives in Ahmad Shah Baba Mena Kabul, Afghanistan.

• Developed Target Breakdown Database, where ACD can predict their future revenue based on the level of current variables, using SPSS.
• Got an appreciation Certificate for Development and Publication of 2016 Annual Progress Report of Afghan Customs Department and Annual Statistical Review (English and Dari version).
