This very special antique locket necklace is made of highly polished solid yellow gold. The locket is 10K and the chain is 14K. Both are stamped accordingly. The locket has a unique shield shape which has a beautiful floral forget-me-not design on the front and a monogram on the back. The locket is a little over one inch long. The inside still holds the original black and white portrait of a handsome gentleman. The photo is held in place by the original frame and cover. I imagine there is a wonderful love story attached to this piece. The necklace is a mini paperclip style chain with a spring ring clasp. The clasp is stamped 585 (14K).
